Infield Landscaping Masterplan
Caulfield Racecourse, Victoria

"Works within the centre of the course to increase water storage, beautify the area and enhance horse training facilities formed part of the Club's overall strategic plan.

The main challenge to Ground Control was to design a second infield lake and to create a revised landform around the new lake using the excavated material. As part of the landscape masterplan, Ground Control also addressed issues of improving stormwater harvesting, establishing wetland areas and maintaining critical sight-lines.

The main component of the works involving Ground Control and the consultant team, has given the Club a landscape feature and functional asset that will also make the Club more self sufficient in its water requirements.

Ground Control's extensive knowledge in landscape design and associated areas was a major factor to the successful outcome of the project."
